Soft Landings start at home and create ripple effects of connection

We have a strong focus on our outreach programs and events, but we must always remember that Soft Landings (the reason we exist as a company) always start with us. It then spreads to the person sitting next to you, and from them to your customers, then to your partners, and ultimately to your community.

Through our Soft Landings Foundation, we have:

  • Volunteered in the Soul Hub Newcastle community kitchen in Australia to prepare meals for the vulnerable and donated monthly goods supplies.
  • Participated in Got Your Back Sista’s ‘I Run for Her’ charity event against domestic violence and donated monthly goods supplies.
  • Supported a ‘Families on the Move’ sponsorship with Ronald McDonald House Charities to provide food boxes for families returning home from hospital, as well as a ’12 Days of Christmas’ sponsorship.
  • Formed a partnership with Healthy Pets New Zealand, supporting their vital mission of bettering the lives of Kiwi cats and dogs.

Got Your Back Sista

Got Your Back Sista was established as a registered charity in 2016, with a vision to see women and their children happy, thriving and living independently after escaping the trauma of family violence.

Got Your Back Sista offers benevolent relief and support to women and children who are escaping domestic violence and are at risk of living below the poverty line, by giving them a hand up to begin again by providing furniture and household items to set up a safe home free from violence.

Got Your Back Sista also empowers women to thrive by running courses and programs to rebuild their confidence, self-esteem, physical and emotional wellbeing, and creates pathways to study and employment.

The Soft Landings Foundation has been proud to offer support to Got Your Back Sista via the I Run for Her awareness, Corporate Cook Up creating meals for their freezer, and monthly donations of much-needed toiletries and non-perishable pantry items.

Soul Hub

Soul Hub was established in 2003, originally under the banner of Soul Café. The vision was to provide a welcoming space to those who are vulnerable or struggling within the community, the doors are open to everyone – Because nobody’s perfect and anything is possible. With an average of 60,000 meals cooked and served to guests each year, Soul’s impact is no small feat.

The Soft Landings Foundation has been proud to offer support to Soul Hub with teams from Pacific International Insurance volunteering to support Soul Hub’s lunch program and monthly donations of much-needed toiletries and non-perishable pantry items.

Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC)

RMHC provides support via a range of programs to help families stay together and close to the care they need when a child is diagnosed with a serious illness. RMHC supports more than 40,000 families each year through accommodation and learning programs.

The Soft Landings Foundation has been proud to offer support to RMHC in Newcastle via the annual 12 Days of Christmas fundraising campaign and the opportunity to provide meals to families via the Meals from the Heart program and fresh food boxes when they return home from their stay at RMHC.
